Getting Here from Around the Bay Area

We sail from Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, the closest ocean harbor for most of the San Francisco Bay Area. Check-in at the boat is between 4:30 and 6:30 am depending on the trip (always verify your time), so plan on an early start. Times below are typical for early-morning driving with no traffic.

Pillar Point Harbor is about 4 miles north of downtown Half Moon Bay on Highway 1. Use the parking map above to find Johnson Pier, then head down to Dock H, Berth 1.

On fall weekends, especially during pumpkin season, Highway 92 can back up badly in the afternoon, so allow extra time for the drive home. Coming from Monterey or farther? Consider staying overnight on the coast so you can be at the dock on time without a 4:00 am alarm.
